Jesy Nelson shares emotional update on her twins after they were born eight weeks early

Jesy Nelson has shared an emotional update on her newborn twins who are currently in intensive care, and the girls Ocean Jade and Story Monroe are doing amazingly well.

The singer announced that the twins had been born at 31 weeks and five days on Instagram, writing: “It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong!”

Now, she has shared a picture of the girls together on her chest after they “reuinted” for the first time since birth, and given an update on how they are getting on.

“Nothing or no one will ever be able to prepare you as a parent for NICU. It’s the most scary overwhelming feeling of emotions not being able to feel like you can protect your babies,” she said.

“Naturally as a mother you just want to hold them and comfort them when they cry but you can’t because there are what feels like a million wires coming out of them and tubes and masks in the way with people poking and prodding them it breaks your heart into a million pieces.”

“But slowly as the days go by and they get stronger and wires start to come away, moments like this feel like a dream. Having them reunited for the first time ever today was the most magical feeling I will never be able to describe,” the 33-year-old continued.

Jesy described them as the “strongest little girls I’ve ever known” and said they have the “most inspiring story to tell”.

It comes after the former Little Mix bandmate announced that she is filming her own TV series about becoming a first-time mum to their gorgeous girls.

“I’ll be honest, it’s not been easy as it’s been such a high risk pregnancy, so you’ll see all the highs and lows and rollercoaster of emotions we have been going through. I hope you will all join me on this journey as I really open up and say goodbye to the past and enter this new chapter in my life,” she said.

The six-part documentary titled Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix is coming to Prime Video, but the release date hasn’t been announced yet.
