Who is Zion Foster? Meet the father of Jesy Nelson’s twins and their very messy history
You gotta love some on again off again celebrity chaos
Despite earlier saying she had no intention of having kids, former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson revealed that she is expecting twins in the near future with her boyfriend Zion Foster.
Jesy announced the news on Sunday in an Instagram post that has since received just under 500,000 likes, with the picture featuring Jesy and Zion on a Polaroid alongside the caption “She’s eating for 3 now.” While I obviously know Jesy from her time in Little Mix and her disastrous start as a solo artist, the announcement left me with one burning question: Who the hell is Zion Foster?
Jesy Nelson’s boyfriend Zion Foster is a rapper
According to the MailOnline, Zion Foster, 26, hails from South London where he was raised in a Nigerian household by his mother. Much of his childhood was spent listening to gospel music, but early rap inspirations included Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Usher.
Unlike Jesy, who found her musical start on The X Factor, Zion took another route on SoundCloud where he amassed 250,000 streams with his song Get This Girl in 2015. He now boasts 429,000 listeners on Spotify on tracks such as Letter to a Broken Heart, Full Effect, Diamonds, and Dangerous.
Jesy and Zion have a rather chaotic relationship timeline
You’ve got to love a messy relationship story, and if there’s one thing Jesy Nelson knows how to do, it’s give us messy!
Jesy and Zion were first connected back in late 2022 when they were reportedly spending time together following her breakup with Harry James. They were soon pictured on a sunny vacation together.

“It’s early days and there is definitely no label on things but Jesy and Zion have grown close in recent weeks,” a source told The Sun in 2023. “Jesy is in a really great place right now and excited for what’s in store for next year.”
Despite the cosy pictures on Instagram and easter eggs in one another’s music, they split up in the summer of 2024 as a source told The Sun: “Jesy and Zion split last month and have completely cut ties with each other. It’s not the first time they have broken up but friends think it’s for good this time. It’s slightly awkward though because they had an EP ready of music they have made together and Jesy doesn’t want it released now.
“Fans have already heard one of their tracks and were hoping for more, but it’s looking pretty unlikely at this point.”
As for the reason, another source told The Mirror that their seven-year age gap came into play, explaining: “Jesy is in a different head space from Zion these days. She is after all a few years older than Zion and has a different way of looking at things these days. They had a great trip abroad but since they got back, Jesy has realized it’s time to move on.”
Though some might suggest that the baby news is confirmation of yet another rekindling, stranger things have happened in the celebrity world – just look at Ariana Grande’s messy timeline with Ethan Slater.
