Jesy Nelson just gave her verdict on Jade’s new single for the first time

It has been well publicised how things went down between Jesy Nelson and her other Little Mix bandmates, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall. When Jesy departed the band, things were not well in the world of Little Mix. Jesy last year said she had not spoke to the girls who along with her had their lives changed by winning The X Factor and becoming one of the most successful girl groups of all time in Little Mix’s 11 year run of chart domination. Until now, Jesy Nelson – the first to go solo – has never commented on the music of Leigh-Anne, Perrie or Jade after the controversy surrounding Jesy’s release Boyz – but now she has given her verdict on Jade’s debut Angel of my Dreams.

And I’m quite shocked this has happened. The girls and Jesy have kept schtum sharing thoughts on either camp’s work. But Jesy Nelson today replied to a TikTok comment declaring what she thought of Angel of my Dreams by Jade as the two continue their music careers.

Replying to a comment on TikTok that said “Jesy, have you heard Angel Of My Dreams? Do you like the song?” Jesy replied “I have it’s a vibe!!!” It feels like the closest and nicest thing to an olive branch we’ve seen between Jesy and the Little Mix girls in years.

Last year, Jesy shared that she hasn’t spoken to her former friends and bandmates in years. In her autobiography, Leigh-Anne said on Jesy’s departure “it was abrupt, then it was sad, then it was messy” and confessed the three had to go to therapy after it.

Perrie earlier this year said to Cosmopolitan “We don’t talk, and haven’t done for a long time,” she said. “It’s really sad, it’s heartbreaking. But sometimes these things happen and people decide they want to part ways, and that’s absolutely fine. I would rather it went differently, but you can’t control how things go.”

When an interviewer mentioned Jesy’s viral “Jamaican accent” video, Jade vetoed and said “Oh my god. Rebuke. No comment.”

Perhaps Jesy’s sweet comment could be a step in the right direction for all the girls. Nature is healing!
