Drag Race winner Violet Chachki claps back after clip of her calling season 17 ‘garbage’

Season 17 finalist Lexi Love called Violet a ‘c*nt’ because of it

Two legendary RuPaul’s Drag Race queens are feuding, and it’s getting really messy. RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17 only just ended, and with All Stars 10 round the corner it seems the drought isn’t going to be a boring one with messy beef like this. Iconic, legendary – but absolutely and infamously brutal – winner of season seven Violet Chachki just called the latest season ‘garbage’ and now season 17 finalist Lexi Love has responded calling her a… well, you’ll see. Drag Race legend queens Violet and Lexi are beefing after the ‘garbage’ comment big time – here’s what you need to know.

‘Garbage’

Violet Chachki and her bestie and fellow Drag Race alum Gottmik are being interviewed on a red carpet by Ricky Cornish, who asks Violet “did anyone serve on season 17?”

Violet responds: “Oh I literally have no clue. Oh, I don’t watch. Oh, no no no. And Mik keeps showing me videos and clips of things, and I’m like ‘stop showing me this garbage.’ I go ‘STOP, showing it to me.'”

Brutal.

Lexi Love responded

Finalist Lexi Love, famously never one to mince her words, responded calling Violet “a c*nt.” Yikes. Violet is yet to respond to this clap back, but the replies are mixed. Some agreed with Violet, with one asking Lexi “Did she lie?” Lexi responded to this calling the fan “lame”.

One reply supporting Lexi and the Drag Race season 17 queens says “Violet is just a mean, nasty piece of work who is desperately insecure. She is a soulless bully and a basic bitch.”

Violet addressed the drama on a TikTok

Violet claims that the video was edited in a shady way, and she wasn’t actually calling Drag Race garbage. In her TikTok, the winner explained “I was having the most amazing time, so much love and so much light, I check my phone and I’m seeing the press have twisted this weird ass narrative saying I am calling something garbage that I’ve never even seen. How does that make any sense?

“I have nothing but love and light for everything RuPaul’s done for me and for the community and for the literal world. I am eternally grateful for that. I literally can not have an opinion on something I’ve never seen. Mik shows me videos of so many things that I don’t wanna see because I need my brain to be sharp and focussed on things that I care about. That’s it.

“I am so sick of being misunderstood. I have nothing but love for any queer person in the world. You guys should know that by now.”

I know it goes without saying, but at least you can always count in the world of reality TV that these queens will bring the drama even when the show isn’t airing.
