Nominations are now open for Sheffield’s BNOC 2025

Put down that Easter egg and look away from that revision you were pretending to do, because we have an important mission for the students of Sheffield.

Every university has that person who is, simply put, famous. You know, the one you see in big Tesco and then have to promptly message the group chat going: “You’re never guess who I’ve just seen buying loo roll and Mini Eggs.” Well, we at The Sheffield Tab need your help to identify this person, to find Sheffield’s biggest BNOC.

Unsure what a BNOC is? No problem, because we’re here to educate you. BNOC stands for ‘Biggest Name on Campus’, which means we’re looking for you to nominate the most iconic person you know. A campus celebrity, if you will.

Is it a course mate? A flatmate? Maybe a Hinge date that didn’t go so well? Whoever it is, nominate your Biggest Name on Campus using the form below.

For a “healthy” post-Varsity bash out, both Hallam and Uni of BNOCs can apply – no fighting in Leadmill over the results though.

Could it be your gym crush? Your weird group member from last year’s project who did nothing but add GIFS to the PowerPoint? Could it even…be you?

Nominations close on Wednesday 23rd April at 2pm so start filling out those forms  it’s not like you have any other work to do.
