A rundown of the most famous people who have ever been on Celebrity Big Brother

In every Celebrity Big Brother cast, you simply must have those that everyone shouts “who” about. It’s the lore. But for every resident of the khia asylum who you get shoved in the house, Celebrity Big Brother and the big bosses throw their budget and weight around to make sure they book someone absolutely crazy. Over the years – we’re now on season 24 – so many mega famous housemates have gone into the Celebrity Big Brother house, so here are the most famous of the lot that you won’t believe actually went in there.

Shilpa Shetty

In 2007, Shilpa Shetty won Celebrity Big Brother 5 – and whilst not everyone in the UK knew who she was she was still one of the most famous women to ever enter the house. A huge Bollywood star, Shipla was a MASSIVE celebrity in India. And became a huge one here, after being on the receiving end of racist comments from Jade Goody, Jo from S Club and Danielle Lloyd which became a huge scandal and front page news globally.

Jermaine and La Toya Jackson

Not one but TWO members of the Jackson family have been in the house. Obviously it’s not a gag like Michael or Janet, but still. When you’re a Jackson, the world knows your name. They entered in consecutive years.

Ivana Trump

Donald Trump’s most famous ex wife went into the house and reportedly got a whopping two million deal to get booked as part of the cast. It’s so surreal seeing the mother of Ivanka, Donald and Eric Trump being a Big Brother housemate, but that she was. She placed 7th in 2010.

Ivana Trump passed away in 2022.

One of many famous actors to head into the Celebrity Big Brother, Stephen Baldwin is the father of Hailey Bieber and star of massive films like The Usual Suspects. His brother is Alec Baldwin. He ended up placing ninth in Celebrity Big Brother 7.

He was medium famous when he went in the house, but now LL is obviously mega famous after huge roles in Scream Queens and Emily in Paris.

Michael Madsen

Another insanely famous cast member making up this list of Celebrity Big Brother housemates is actor Michael Madsen, obviously one of the most recognisable actors here. He’s been in a shit load of Tarantino films – including the best film ever: Kill Bill. So wild that a housemate was in one of my favourite films.

Funniest thing is he absolutely hated Denise Welch.

Gary Busey

Another loose cannon actor – Gary Busey was a huge Hollywood name. He was an utter nightmare in the house, to be honest, but somehow won it.

Janice Dickinson

Whilst she’s known to do a lot of reality TV these days, Janice Dickinson is a mega famous model who is super famous in the uK and the United States.

Trisha Paytas

It is so iconic that Trisha Paytas actually did Celebrity Big Brother – and she’s only even more famous since. She walked almost immediately and hated every second of it. Queen. She then also gave us the most memed tweet ever: “I’m free! Worst experience of my f*cking life!”

Kirstie Alley

Kirstie Alley was another one of the mega famous Hollywood actors who headed into the house. She was Emmy nominated and known for her roles in Look Who’s Talking, and younger audiences would also know her from Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens. She was known after the show for her Trump loving and voting views. She passed away in 2022.

Louis Walsh (and Sharon Osbourne)

Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne are such mega famous celebrities because of how much The X Factor dominated TV in the noughts and it was wild seeing them in the house. Sharon only went in for five days and was a “celeb lodger” – but the two of them caused chaos and gave great gossip.

Mickey Rourke

Again, following the footsteps of the likes of Gary Busey and Stephen Baldwin, Mickey Rourke is this year’s MASSIVE booking. Clearly ITV have blown the budget on him because Ella Wise must have cost about 50 quid.

JoJo Siwa

Whilst anyone over the age of 35 may not have a clue, ITV booking JoJo is wild because she’s viral pretty much every day and has a huge audience in the US and the UK. Wow. Need her to win.
