Jamie Laing themed pub to open on Otley Run route, where staff will all wear blonde wigs

The first 100 visitors to show up dressed like Jamie get free Candy Kittens

A Jamie Laing themed pub is set to open on the Otley Run route, where staff will all wear blonde wigs.

The pub, which is set to be called “Made in Leeds”, will be arriving to Merrion Way next month.

Once it opens, it will become the new final pub on the Otley Run instead of Dry Dock.

As part of the Jamie-inspired theme all staff will wear blonde wigs, honouring the presenter and University of Leeds graduate.

The name of the new pub is inspired by the popular television series, Made in Chelsea, which has famously featured Jamie.

The Leeds Tab reached out to new owner, Bev Rage, to find out more about plans for this new Otley Run venue.

“We’re so excited to be honouring such an iconic Leeds graduate in this way,” Bev told The Leeds Tab. “We’ve got lots of Jamie-themed surprises in the works.”

“The wigs arrived yesterday so we’re raring to go,” she added.

Bev promises free Candy Kittens for the first 100 pub visitors wearing Jamie-themed outfits on their Otley Run.

Although Jamie is not in line to inherit his family’s McVitie’s fortune, the pub will also be giving out digestive biscuit packets in honour of his great-great grandfather, Sir Alexander Grant, the creator of the McVitie’s digestive biscuit.

In the lead up to its opening The Leeds Tab asked Leeds students how they feel about this addition to the Otley Run pub crawl.

Lucy, 23, told The Leeds Tab: “I’m so excited! From now on, me and my friends will be starting the Otley Run backwards just so we can be the first in the Laing-themed pub and get as many Candy Kittens as possible.”

University of Leeds student, Martha, was equally thrilled.

“My blonde wig from TikTok shop is already on its way,” the final year student said.

However, some Leeds students are not keen about this alteration to the famous pub crawl.

Fashion marketing student, Emma, said: “Dry Dock not being the last Otley Run pub is abominable. This is erasing years of tradition and is erasing my happiness along with it. I hope the council takes action soon.”

The pub is due to open on 12th April, and we can’t wait to see you all in your Jamie-inspired fits!

You should probably check the date, you April fools!
