Jacqui speaks out about Ryan’s explicit comment on MAFS and she’s still fuming about it

Jacqui has spoken about how she feels since the explicit comment her groom Ryan made about her aired on MAFS Australia 2025. You guessed it, she’s not happy.

We all saw Ryan’s gross comments in the intimacy week workshop, albeit the bits that weren’t bleeped out. It’s since been revealed what was actually said, and Ryan has made a slight apology, all whilst still trying to justify it all.

Since the show has aired, Jacqui has claimed Ryan hasn’t actually apologised directly to her, and is blissfully unaware of why what he said wasn’t taken too well. She has said he still today doesn’t think his comments about her were that bad. Ok, sure.

“I actually found out when he got home that he had made the sexual comments about me, but I didn’t know the context,” she said in an interview. She said she had “no idea” what had really happened in the workshop, until it was aired on the show. “I’m shocked, actually,” Jacqui added. “It’s ten times worse than what he said to me privately.”

She said what has hurt her the most is that Ryan has never properly apologised directly to her. “To this day, he doesn’t understand what the issue was,” she said. “The issue is that he was bagging me off to the boys and using it as an insult. I feel really hurt that he can’t acknowledge that.”

Jacqui added she is also quite hurt that nobody on the show called him out. She said: “I’m a human being – I’m someone’s daughter, someone’s sister, and one day, I’ll be someone’s mum. I feel really exposed and vulnerable. But it’s not the edit that makes me feel that way—it’s the way Ryan spoke about me and how nobody called him out.”

Ryan has shared his side of things, and roughly apologised. He told 9Entertainment: “I’m a firm believer in ownership and accountability and yes, 100 per cent what I said didn’t come across well.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to the viewers, to Jacqui, to anyone who was offended by it, to Alessandra who was present in the room.”
