‘I’m more than ok’: Katie says she ‘feels sorry’ for Tim in first interview since MAFS Australia

She’s moving on!

Katie has spoken out since MAFS Australia 2025, and it seems she’s more than happy to leave Tim behind. Katie and Tim were matched on the show, but that was all they really saw of each other. He didn’t bother moving into their shared apartment, and at the first commitment ceremony, they opted to leave the experiment.

It was rough for Katie on the show. Tim straight away dismissed a “spark” with his new bride, said his type was “petite blondes” and didn’t give her much of a chance. At the first dinner party, he was accused by fellow cast members of “gaslighting” her.

But now, speaking to A Current Affair Australia, Katie seems much better. Thank god! “I am more than ok. I was strong before, frustrated during, and even better now,” she said. “I really want to focus on finding stability, building the foundation, and filling up my self-love cup again and I’ll explore that possibility later.”

Regarding Tim, she added she “feels sorry for the guy” now. Katie said: “I hope he learns and I hope he heals, and I hope he can be better for the next woman, man, who enters his life.”

Following her exit, Katie also made a statement on her Instagram. She said: “I left MAFS at the first commitment ceremony… and I’ve never been more sure of who I am.

“Sometimes life throws challenges at you that test your strength, your worth, and your boundaries. But here’s what I know: the faster you get back up, the harder it is to fall next time. Every time I’ve been knocked down, I’ve chosen to stand taller, stronger, and more in love with myself than before.”

Since the show, it’s not looked as good for Tim. He’s apparently lost his job because of how he came across on MAFS. Yikes.
