‘Wild horses couldn’t keep her away’: Everything Rihanna has said about the A$AP Rocky trial
She was standing by her man
A$AP Rocky was found not guilty of two felony assault charges which came from a November 6, 2021, altercation in Hollywood involving his former friend A$AP Relli. The prosecutors alleged that Rocky fired two shots, grazing Relli’s knuckle, while the defence argued he used a prop gun and fired blanks. The jury deliberated for only three hours before acquitting him, meaning he avoided a prison sentence that could have been up to 24 years. Rihanna has been at his side throughout the entirety of the A$AP Rocky trial, and she hasn’t been quiet about her opinions on it all.
Rihanna and Rocky have become parents during this entire legal debacle, with their first son RZA being born in May 2022. They then welcomed Riot Rose in August 2023. Despite literally becoming a mother, Rihanna hasn’t let that stop her from supporting her man.

According to a statement A$AP Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, gave outside of the courthouse, A$AP didn’t want to drag Rihanna into all the legal trouble. However, any man would be dreaming if they thought they could tell Rihanna what to do. Joe Tacopina said A$AP originally “wanted to shield her from this” but she’d told him “wild horses couldn’t keep her away” from his side.
Joe Tacopina also made it clear: “Rocky did not want her here, I will tell you that, I can’t imagine this has been anything but a life-altering experience for them.”
