Save those pennies: The top spots in Bristol to use your student discount
So all that student debt was worth something
You don’t have to spend long in Bristol to know there is an abundance of things to eat, drink, and do. However, with prices that seem to be constantly rising, it’s nice to fall back on some trusty discounts that you can claim by being a student.
Here’s a list of the best pubs, restaurants, cafes, and activities offering student discounts – just remember to have your UCard or Unidays app on hand when you use these.
Food
1. Pizza on the Park
You’ll struggle to find yummier pizza around, and with 20 per cent off for students from Monday to Friday, this restaurant at the top of Park Street won’t break the bank. They do great starters as well as pizzas, like burrata and arancini. You also have not lived without trying their parmesan aioli – perfect for those extra doughy crusts.
2. Eat a Pitta
Health is wealth, especially when you can save some money on the most gorgeous falafel around. Eat a Pitta has locations all over Bristol, so you can get your hummus fix whether you’re in Clifton, City Centre, or on Gloucester Road. They offer a 10 per cent student discount, as well as a loyalty scheme.
3. Mocha Mocha
Mocha Mocha’s great location at the top of St. Michael’s Hill, tasty food, loyalty card, and 15 per cent student discount make it ideal for a cosy catch-up. The sandwiches and focaccia always look and smell so delicious in here. I can confirm they taste as good as they look.
4. Rosa’s Thai

3. The Whitmore Tap

4. Cotham Porter Stores
This pub is a great local option if you’re around Cotham or Kingsdown. It has a great quiz every Thursday, with a £60 cash prize for first place as well as pint prizes for runner-ups. With a student discount as well, Cotham Porter Stores makes for a slightly cosier pub night out.
