Whether you’re celebrating smashing your dissertation deadlines or still soaking up the carefree fresher life, February is the perfect time to brave the Lancaster winter and hit the town. With themed dress-up nights, unbeatable drink deals, and a buzzing club scene, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this month.

Whether you’re in the mood for a lively dance floor, a nostalgic throwback night, or just a spontaneous evening out with friends, Lancaster has something for everyone this month. So bundle up, step out, and make the most of February in Sugar and Vibe.

Vibe

Pre Bar Quids – Every Wednesday 9pm-11pm

With free entry and drinks costing just £1 or two, what’s not to love?

Every Wednesday, Vibe hosts Pre Bar Quids as the perfect pres spot in town which is attractive to even the most restrictive student budget. Plus, if you’re really feeling the vibe (get it?), you could buy a ticket to the main room event and party on until 4am.

Vibe Saturdays – Every Saturday 10pm-5am

Rather wait for the weekend to let loose instead? Well, from 10pm every Saturday night, club-goers can choose between the hip hop and RnB room, or dance and club classics in the main room, as well as various drinks deals pre-12am and post-3am.

If you’re fancying a no-frills, high-energy night out, a Vibe Saturday should be added to your February calendar.

Swipe Right Night – Friday 14th February, 11pm-5am

Let’s be real, not everyone had a successful cuffing season last year, and there’s better things to be doing than moping around your uni bedroom. Therefore, get yourself down to Vibe!

Aside from the usual Vibe Friday deals, there are giveaways and photo opportunities so you can enjoy a night out with the gals and pals without the stress of having to plan a romantic date for two.

Sweet Vibes – Saturday 15th February, 11pm-5am

With a candy land-themed makeover and the giveaways continuing, why miss out? Vibe is offering a night of dance floor classics and club anthems in the main room – perfect for those who missed out on the antics of the night before, or want to experience a second night out after another week of battling deadlines.

BASH – Hip Hop, RnB and Afrobeats – Friday 21st February, 11pm-4am

This urban-themed night out has been crafted in collaboration with Lancaster University’s Hip Hop Society (offering discounted tickets to members), as well as Lancaster University’s Nigerian and ACS societies.

In the main room, club-goers can expect the best of Hip Hop, RnB, Afrobeats, and Grime music to be played all night, with a 2 for £6 drinks offer.

Sugarhouse

Brat x Sweat ‘Traffic Light Night’ – Wednesday 12th February, 11pm-3am

Already got plans for Valentine’s Day? Don’t worry, you can celebrate a little earlier with your gals and pals at Sugar, with a fun dress-up theme depending on your relationship status and the tracks from your Brat Summer.

Aside from the usual Wednesday night drinks deals, you can soak up some of the best dance music of today with two for one raspberry Sambuca and double spirits and mixer for £4.99 – something to keep us loving Sugar.

Galentine’s Day with Cheryl the Queen – Friday 14th February, 11pm-3am

Looking for a legendary way to spend Galentine’s Day in Lancaster? How about celebrating with a RuPaul’s Drag Race icon.

If you’re up for a fabulous girl’s night out – dressing to the nines, sipping on Love Heart Shots, and dancing to nonstop pop classics – forget the candlelit dinner and head straight to Sugar. This is Galentine’s with a glittering twist you won’t want to miss!

Hallyu Nights: K-Pop Takeover – Saturday 15th February, 11pm-3am

With all the fan faves on one playlist, this one night only at Sugar is bound to have the diehard K-Pop fans gassed to spend a night with their friends dancing along as if they’re a member of Loona (when we really know they’re not). This night’s exclusive drinks deals are “Bang Bang Bombs” and the “Dynamite” drink alongside the usual drinks menu.

Fight Night – Saturday 22nd February, 5:30pm-10pm

Not really feeling the clubbing energy? Sugar’s hosting a Fight Night in collaboration with Lancaster University’s Kickboxing and Muay Thai clubs to bring students a Saturday night out with a lively atmosphere, great action and an optional black-tie dress code, if you fancy going all out. But, with the first fight starting at 6pm, pres might have to start a bit earlier than what we’re all used to.
