Maya Jama reacts to viral Montoya clip after calls for Love Island to be *that* juicy

We need that Spanish Temptation Island drama

That amazing clip from the Spanish version of Temptation Island is STILL going viral and Maya Jama has now reacted to it.

Everyone is obsessed with the juicy scene where contestant José Carlos Montoya watches his girlfriend Anita Williams get intimate with another guy in real-time.

People are saying that’s the kind of drama Love Island needs, but sadly, Maya has revealed it would never happen on UK TV. Boooo!

“10/10 performance. They would never allow this on UK TV for so many reasons but it’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen,” she wrote on X.

People started recalling that reality TV did used to be pretty wild and she then clarified: “I thought it was obvious but I’m talking about right now.”

“I know back in the day our TV was unruly but now people would complain, in 2025,” the Love Island host added.

In the comments, people are moaning that the complaints have ruined British reality TV, which is now just super boring and samey.

One person wrote: “Which is a shame because I feel like TV was at its most entertaining back then.”

“People still complain about Big Brother. We’ll never ever get the unhinged TV to that extent again,” said another.

A third person added: “The people that complained ruined it for everyone else.”

Even Love Island used to show raunchy bedroom scenes like Alex and Zara in The Hideaway and Terry and Emma getting down and dirty on top of the sheets.

However, ITV stopped airing raunchy scenes after the 2018 series because contestants started getting scared it would ruin their reputations.

“There’s a few couples having sex in the villa but it hasn’t been shown on TV – bosses are worried about upsetting them and fear ruining their lives,” a source told The Sun at the time.

“Everyone is being extra careful about the well-being of the cast and how they will deal with the aftermath if their sex scenes are shown.”

They added that most of the contestants are “not comfortable” with sex scenes being broadcast and bosses have “taken it all into account”.

To put it simply, they revealed: “Many go on to regret having sex on camera because of how they’re viewed by the public and their employers.”
