This Squid Game 2 theory proves we’re going to see the Front Man’s games in season three

Wait, what?!

Squid Game 2 has been just as amazing as the first, there’s no doubt about it. From dramatic deaths to player revolts, the show has used. every plot twist in the book. Season two left us on a huge cliffhanger and the fate of Gi-hun and his friends will hang in the balance until this summer. However, we also got to see a post-credit scene at the end of Squid Game 2 which showed a sneak peek of season three and has started a great viewer theory.

People think this mysterious scene will be another game, implying that the Squid Games keep going, however that might not be the case at all. We only got a few seconds of spoiler footage, but from what we’ve already seen, it seems like we could instead be seeing a flashback to a different year of Squid Game altogether.

The player numbers don’t match up for this year of Squid Game

The Squid Game spoiler can’t possibly be a reference to the current games that are being played because of the three players we see facing the challenge. Firstly, Player 100 has darker hair than the current Player 100 who has silver hair. Of course, it could just be a trick of the light.

Still don’t believe me? Here’s some more evidence that’s sure to convince you.

There’s no way the scene can be a moment from the current games because Player 353, on the right, died in Red Light, Green Light. We know this because during the voting after the first game, the numbers called out go from 380 to 333. All the players are silent as they realise this huge number of people in-between have died.

Considering the first game lost over half of the players, it’s no surprise he died.

So, whose games are they?

A great theory is that the games are actually a flashback to the Front Man’s which took place back in 2015, when In-ho won the games. The theory would actually make a lot of sense, as we’d get to see how the Front Man began his journey in the Squid Game. I guess we’ll just have to wait until season three to find out the truth…
