From snubs to shouts, here’s a round up of all the majorly cringe Golden Globes drama

Why can’t they all just get along?!

Every year, the Golden Globes brings us fashion, awards, and drama. With Ricky Gervais sacked from presenting, I thought the event would have gone a lot smoother this year. But as always, chaos always finds its way into the Beverley Hilton Hotel, no matter how many hours were poured into curating the perfect celeb seating plan.

Some digs were subtle, whereas others were blatant and unapologetic. So, from snubs to shouts, here’s all the drama from the 2025 Golden Globes.

Many viewers praised Nikki for her approach to the Golden Globes speech, claiming that she managed to entertain the crowd without the brutal jokes harnessed by hosts in the past. But it was later revealed that a number of jokes were cut from her speech for being too offensive.

Some of the jokes which didn’t make the final speech include this line about Adam Brody, where Nikki said: “If Adrian Brody could go back in time, he would thank baby Hitler for his career.”

And that’s not even the worst one.

After losing out on the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series, Sofia was criticised for interrupting the winner’s speech. Joking with her fellow nominee, Sofia shouted “No, no” from the crowd as Jodie Foster walked onto the stage to collect her award.

But after Jodie began her winner’s speech and list of thank you’s, Sofia called out again, shouting “Give me one”, which earned gasps and chuckles from the crowd.

Sofia’s outcry gained a mixed response online, with some people finding the funny side of the joke, whilst others didn’t.

One Facebook user commented under a video of the incident, writing “So does this mean she’ll be cancelled like Faith Hill was? lol,” whilst another added: “Why are people praising Vergara? It was Jodie’s moment.”

In the video, it appeared that Jodie did see the funny side, replying to Sofía’s shouts of “No, no” by shrugging and replying: “I know”.

She also shouted out her fellow nominee, who was up for the award for Griselda, saying: “The greatest thing about being this age, and being in this time is having a community of all these people, especially you, Sofía.”

Commenters were thrilled that Jodie won, calling her “humble” and “amazing”.

Demi Moore ignored Kylie Jenner and it was so cringe

Footage of Demi Moore speaking with Elle Fanning went viral when viewers noticed how Kylie Jenner was basically ignored during the whole interaction. Sitting between boyfriend Timothee Chalamet and actress Elle Fanning, Kylie spun in her chair to speak to Demi Moore, who was stood behind the table.

Demi can be seen sharing a hug with Elle before continuing conversation with her and Monica Barbaro. Kylie interjects and Demi briefly cuts off to glance at her, before continuing her conversation.

But this really made it into the 2025 Golden Globes hall of drama fame when Demi then continued to walk right past Kylie to speak to Timothee, who is sat on her other side.

Viewers did not hesitate to roast the celeb, with someone writing in the comments: “You can’t excuse this. This is clear as day, she definitely didn’t want to be seen talking to her.”

Another user wrote: “Even Timothée looked embarrassed for her lmao.”

Somebody even pointed out that it looked like “Kylie had her camera app open” ready to take a picture with Demi.

Out of all the 2025 Golden Globes drama, the subtle comment from Vin Diesel to The Rock may have gone unnoticed by some.

Whilst Vin’s simple “Hey Dwayne” might seem innocent, the pair have a lot of history – if you didn’t know, Vin Diesel and The Rock aren’t the best of friends.

Their beef first started way back in 2016 after they both finished filming one of the Fast and Furious films. The Rock shared an insight into her experience during filming in a now deleted Instagram post, where he called out some of his male costars for acting unprofessionally.

He wrote: “My female costars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male costars, however, are a different story.

“Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken sh*t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.

“When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you’re right.”

A source at the time told People: “Vin has been having problems with The Rock because The Rock keeps showing up late for production. Sometimes he doesn’t show up at all, and he’s delaying the production.”

Vin Diesel spoke out about his alleged rift with The Rock five years later, telling Men’s Health that there was a lot of tension between the pair on set.

He revealed: “It was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character. My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be.”

As for what The Rock thought about Vin Diesel’s comment, he admitted: “One part of me feels like there’s no way I would dignify any of that bullsh*t with an answer.

He added: “And if I feel that there’s some things that need to be squared away and handled and taken care of, then I do it. And it’s just that simple. So when I read that, just like everybody else, I laughed.”

But in the end, Dwayne simply smiled and held his tongue.
