Sam reveals what really went down on his boozy night out following split from Zara McDermott

Sam Thompson has broken his silence for the first time since his “heartbreaking” split from Zara McDermott and revealed what exactly went down on his wild night out with Pete immediately after his breakup.

Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson appeared on their Staying Relevant podcast and admitted they were both feeling very “hungover” following a night of boozy antics to help Sam get over his split from Zara McDermott.

Sam confessed they were partying like “rock stars” at their Staying Relevant Christmas party and embarrassingly recalled downing “about 30 Kamikazes” throughout the night.

Pete explained: “So last night was a Christmas party, this is the morning after the night before. It’s 11 o’clock, everyone had to be in and we purposely did this because it’s a little test for everyone just to see who made it. Everyone made it.”

He quickly admitted things “got weird” throughout the night as he and Sam got more and more drunk.

Pete called out Sam for being very “awkward” at the start of the night, telling him: “Sam, at the start of the evening, quite awkward from you. I don’t think you knew how to behave at your first Christmas party as a boss.

“Sam walked in and told everyone that they looked lovely – apart from Pippa, who he said ‘You look alright’, which was quite nice from you because you usually tell her she looks like sh*t and then he goes ‘She’s like my sister, so it’s fine.’ But you then shook their hands!”

Sam and Pete also shared some pictures of their booze filled festivities on the Staying Relevant Instagram page, with one picture showing a half naked Sam swinging from a pole, whilst another showed Pete shoving a very drunken Sam against a wall. Wild times indeed.

Their night out seemingly came after Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott secretly spit, with a source telling OK!: “Although they have known it’s been over for a while, Sam and Zara are both devastated and heartbroken that they couldn’t make it work as they had so much love for each other.

“When they had problems in the summer they vowed to give it one more try and hoped that they could work through their issues, but it proved impossible as they were just at different stages in their lives.”
