The truly insane ages of the Squid Game season two cast, ranked from youngest to oldest

In 2021 many of us were taken aback by the ages of the Squid Game cast, and now following the release of season two of the Netflix show, I’m once again stunned at the age-defying beauty of its new characters.

Early on in season two, which also saw the landmark introduction of its first trans character, many of us remarked that the players seemed a lot younger. In season one we watched old people being gunned down left, right and centre, but in this year’s Red Light, Green Light, there was a lot of fresh faces in view.

“Because [this season’s players] are younger, it led to the increase of diversity within the games and also a sense of wildness. They have a lot of adrenaline and energy. This took the craziness of the games to another level,” Hwang Dong-hyuk earlier told The Wrap.

But outside of the unnamed characters who were killed early on in the game, what are the ages of the main Squid Game cast?

17. Jo Yuri (Jun-hee) – 23

Despite being pregnant in season two of Squid Game, Jun-hee actress Jo Yuri is the youngest of the cast at 23. She was born on October 22 2001.

16. Won Ji-an (Se-mi) – 25

15. Lee David (Min-su) – 30

14. Roh Jae-won (Nam-gyu) – 31

Nam-gyu was the right-hand lunatic of Thanos throughout much of the games, and though the latter, unfortunately, met his end during a bathroom brawl, Nam-gyu is still alive and kicking.

Despite playing transgender woman Hyun-ju in Squid Game season two, the actor, Park Sung-hoon, is a cisgender man who was born on February 18 1985.
