Chanel from The Ultimatum claims ‘uncomfortable’ requests from producers made her leave

A harrowing conversation with Vanessa was the final straw

Chanel and Micah leaving The Ultimatum season three was a huge part of the show and caused a nightmare for the producers. We never got a super clear answer as to why they all walked out, apart from Vanessa’s side of things. However, Chanel has since claimed the producers made requests that made her feel “uncomfortable” on set. She even gave an insight into what her and the other three show participants all spoke about before making the decision to leave.

Micah and Chanel were one out of two of the couples who decided to pack up and leave the show in the middle of filming without any explanation. “Earlier in the day, Dave, Vanessa, Micah, and Chanel secretly met off camera,” a title card read. “That evening, surveillance cameras captured them packing. Dave, Vanessa, Micah, and Chanel quickly departed, abruptly ending their experience.”

On Instagram, Chanel detailed the conversation she had with Micah, Vanessa and Dave before leaving without a trace.

“There were certain situations and conversations that we were prompted to do that made me feel really uncomfortable. And it wasn’t until I finally voiced I was leaving the experience that I was told that they were all optional when really in the moment it did not feel like it. After filming for such long hours, I did also find myself giving in to those things and at the end of the day I just could not sit with myself because it just felt like it wasn’t me. It wasn’t things that I would do. It just felt like a really big ick,” Chanel shared.

“I did keep going on with the experience but then after a while, I was just like man, so many of these things are just going to be edited, screwed and just squished around to seem like something that they’re not.”

Word then travelled to Micah, Vanessa and Dave

“Me and Micah also did have a conversation about this and he was going through some of the same emotions that I was going through on his end, and it just wasn’t feeling right. We kept going on with the experience and then finally we had that conversation with Vanessa. After hearing her side of things and what she was going through behind closed doors, me and Micah, we were just like, ‘yeah, it’s time.’ If this could be happening to her, and nothing is getting handled, nothing is being done to fix that, to accommodate their whole situation, then this isn’t the place we need to be,” Chanel claimed.

“It just seemed really toxic, and an environment a healthy relationship wouldn’t even be able to thrive in without all of the messiness getting in between. So that’s when we decided to finally get out of there and just handle our situation behind closed doors.”
