Britain’s Got Talent to I’m A Celebrity: Dean McCullough’s huge transformation over the years

He had a hair transplant before going into the jungle

The Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough has definitely made quite the impression so far on I’m A Celebrity. He’s been very good at cracking jokes with the other campmates, but not so good at winning stars in bushtucker trials. I’ve never seen anyone scream so much at sand.

An old clip of Dean McCullough on Britain’s Got Talent resurfaced, and it’s safe to say that he’s had quite the transformation before I’m A Celebrity. The man wears many hats. I swear he has a completely different vibe in every picture.

Dean had a hair transplant and botox injections before heading into the jungle. So, here’s a nosy rundown of Dean McCullough’s transformation over the years before he went on I’m A Celebrity.

Er, he was in a dance troupe on Britain’s Got Talent?

I guess he’s already met Ant and Dec? When Dean McCullough was 20, he was in a dance troupe called Glambassadors which made it all the way to the fifth semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent 2013. This somehow feels totally on-brand for him.

His teeth were still fairly luminous back then, but they look very different to how they are now.

Dean looked way different back on Britain’s Got Talent, but that’s pretty understandable when you consider that 11 years have gone by.

Dean has been open about getting botox

The radio presenter has been very honest about all the cosmetic treatments he’s had. He gets botox injections every four to five months with Dr Vincent Wong at a very expensive clinic in London. Dean aims to prevent wrinkles from forming now, so he doesn’t have to cure them later in life (or just slap a load of foundation on like the rest of us mortals).

Dean also wrote on his Instagram that he loves the Laser Clinics UK clinic in Kengsinton – a place which specialises in laser hair removal and cosmetic injections. So maybe he’s had some work done there too?

The I’m A Celeb star had a very bold hipster beard and glasses for a while

Dean looked so different before he landed his job at BBC Radio 1 and became famous. He used to have a full-on beard. It was definitely a style choice. Dean ditched the beard and trimmed his hair before entering the jungle. Can’t say I blame him.

He got a hair transplant before the jungle

Dean has cosmetic work done before going on I’m A Celebrity. In April, he started a hair transplant treatment at KSL Clinics in Manchester. He documented the whole process in extreme detail on his Instagram.

Hair was transplanted onto the top of his forehead and the back of his head, so that his hairline is now lower. The whole process took seven hours.

Dean said on Instagram right before the surgery, “I can’t wait to have my confidence back. I can’t wait to wear my hair the way I want to and not hide my hairline anymore. I’m just looking forward to having that hair confidence and self-esteem back.”
