It Ends With Us is hugely centred around its insanely famous cast of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, but it was refreshing to see some new faces in the movie, including young Lily. Played by Isabela Ferrer, young Lily was cast pretty perfectly according to the book, and even bears a pretty strong resemblance to Blake Lively herself.

But being a new face to Hollywood, there’s a lot about the actress we don’t know. Here’s a look inside the life of Isabela Ferrer.

Despite being raised in New York City, Isabela spent much of her childhood in rural Northern Ireland, where her mum lives. As per her Instagram, she’s a fan of being outside and has a mix of grunge meets granola girl-esque about her.

She landed the role of Lily through an open casting call

Directing the movie, Justin Baldoni announced back in March 2023 that production would be launching a national open wide casting search to fill the role of young Lily. By April, he announced on social media that the role had been filled and that they’d found their young Lily, which was obviously to be Isabela.

Her performance received instant approval from none other than Blake Lively herself, which would be the start of their budding working relationship.

She studied at famous acting schools

Isabela studied at LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, the same school that produced stars such as Jennifer Aniston and Timothée Chalamet.

She then went on to earn a BFA from Carnegie Mellon’s School of Drama in 2022, before going on to study devised and physical theatre at Arthaus in Berlin.

Isabela’s into jazz and plays the piano

As well as acting, Isabela was a theatre kid and so is pretty skilled on the piano. She’s into jazz and often performed in live jazz performances whilst studying. She also loves to listen to jazz in her spare time.

On set, Isabela was said to have quickly bonded with Blake, who she now considers a mentor, big sister and best friend. Their close relationship also extended beyond the film, with clips of Blake and Isabela getting ready for red carpet events being shared online. They even have the same iconic mole?!

She loves a girls’ holiday abroad

Isabela’s Instagram is full of photos from trips across the world with friends, including Amsterdam and some sunny beach destinations. Posting a carousel of throwback photos with friends to her feed, she captioned the memories “Yes I am at college but I miss Uma and India and these beaches.”
