Collins felt he was ‘set up and backstabbed by producers and the experts’ on MAFS Australia
He was ‘horrified and saddened’ with his time on the show
Collins was removed from MAFS Australia last night after Natalie decided to quit the experiment, and according to one former cast member, he has some choice words about the experts and producers.
In a now-deleted comment on the Channel Nine Instagram, former MAFS Australia cast member Jesse Burford claimed he is close friends with Collins. According to Jesse, Collins said that he was “horrified and saddened with his time on the show” and he felt like he was “railroaded, set up and backstabbed by producers and the experts.”
Jesse went on to describe the groom as “one of the nicest, kindest, friendliest blokes I’ve met. Fingers crossed his edit isn’t too rough. He doesn’t deserve that.”

Natalie and Collins were removed from the show last night due to concerns over her well-being and mental health, especially with the recent grief she was experiencing. A source told Yahoo Lifestyle: “The rules and premise of the show are irrelevant if they compromise a participant’s wellbeing or mental health, and ESA [producers Endemol Shine Australia] take their duty of care seriously.
“Natalie had already tried to quit at the first dinner party, but was talked into remaining until the first commitment ceremony to ‘see their storyline through.’ When it then became apparent she would have to stay another week, bosses stepped in and removed her and Collins from the show as soon as they could wrap it up on camera.
“The experiment is an emotional rollercoaster as it is, but factor in Natalie’s vulnerability from her lack of relationship experience prior to filming and the grief she was experiencing following her father’s very recent death and she was in no state to continue production.”
