The most painfully expensive private schools in the UK, for all you rahs in training
Eton doesn’t even make the top five!
The Times recently released its list of the best private schools for 2024 and they’re are some FANCY schools on the list.
These schools are perfect for rahs in training who actively insist they don’t vote Conservative despite owning three siggie rings with their family crest, the latest MacBook Pro, a mansion (in the home counties of course) and the ability to speak fluently in Latin.
The Times named St Paul’s Girls’ School in Hammersmith as the best private school in the UK. But at £29,946 a year, this is actually one of the cheaper private schools in the UK (imagine £29k a year being cheap). So which schools are the most expensive?
These are officially the most eye-wateringly expensive private schools for 2024:
Brighton College – £64,920 per year
Brighton College costs up to £64,920 a year and is officially the UK’s most expensive private school. Facilities include a £55 million sports and science building with a sea-view running track, 18 university-standard laboratories, a cinema-esque auditorium, a strength and conditioning suite with a parquet floor, and a 25-metre heated indoor pool.
Top London designers were also hired to do the bedrooms to make sure the “boarding facilities are a real home away from home”.

ACS Cobham International School – £55,330 per year
Most Read
ACS Cobham International School is the second most expensive private school in the UK at over £55 grand a year. ACS International Schools is a group of four private schools including three in England and one in Qatar but it’s the Surrey-based school which is the second most expensive in the UK.
According to its website, it has a “dedicated early childhood village” within its 128-acre campus. I have no clue what an early childhood village is but I feel like one trip there would solve literally all of my problems.
Concord College – £53,400 per year
Concord College in Shrewsbury costs £53,400 a year, making it the third most spenny private school in the UK. The school is built on the grounds of an actual castle, Acton Burnell Castle. What in the Hogwarts??
Concord also has its own sorority and fraternity programme called Greek Life meaning you can actually be part of a frat house or sorority while you’re at school. But that’s gonna cost you an additional membership fee on top of your £53k a year. Wild.
Cardiff Sixth Form College – £53,300 per year
Cardiff Sixth Form College costs over £53k a year. A small school, it only has 385 students and each one has their own bedroom and en-suite as well as gym membership for their state-of-the-art gym. Every student also gets the opportunity for an international work experience in Malaysia, India, Tanzania and Europe.
Hurtwood House School – £52,227 per year
Another Surrey school, Hurtwood House literally looks like something straight out of Pride and Prejudice. It costs £52,227 a year to go there and facilities include its own record label where students can record and release music as well as clubs such as circus skills.
