Netflix has recently become much more transparent with its watching figures, and now lets us know which shows are the most viewed by its subscribers.
Beyond seeing what goes straight into the top 10 list on your Netflix homepage, you can now see which of your fav shows have been most popular globally, including a list of the most watched English language series of all time, and the most watched non-English series ever.
Here is a full ranking of the most viewed Netflix shows of all time, and how many millions of us have watched them all.
12. Bridgerton season two
Views: 93,800,000
Season two of Bridgerton was watched by 93.8million households, so yes, we really are all that obsessed with Kate and Anthony and swooning for the Viscount.
11. Stranger Things 3
Views: 94,800,000
Stranger Things is a Netflix staple, it’s one of the most successful series ever released and we all love Eleven and the gang. 94.8million people have watched season three.
10. The Night Agent season one
Views: 98,200,000
The Night Agent was released on Netflix in 2023, and has now been viewed over 98million times. It follows an FBI agent who, while monitoring an emergency line, answers a call that plunges him into a deadly conspiracy involving a mole at the White House.
9. Money Heist: Part 5
Views: 99,200,000
Most Read
The next most popular series is Money Heist, with season five getting around 99million views. The Netflix synopsis says: “Eight thieves take hostages and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain as a criminal mastermind manipulates the police to carry out his plan.”
8. Lupin: Part 1
Views: 99,500,000
French mystery series Lupin was first released in January 2021. The world-famous gentleman thief and master of disguise is now a household name all over the world.
7. Money Heist: Part 4
Views: 106,000,000
Season four of Money Heist was even more watched than season five was. This season has been watched by well over 100million households.
6. The Queen’s Gambit
Views: 112,800,000
After its release, The Queen’s Gambit seemed to never leave the Netflix top 10 list. At the time, it was announced by Netflix that the show had set the record as the most-watched scripted limited series to date, with 62million households tuning in to the show in the first 28 days. Now it’s had 112.8million views.
5. Bridgerton season one
Views: 113,300,000
At the time of its release in 2020, Bridgerton was the most viewed of all Netflix shows ever. It was announced 82million households watched the first season of the period drama over its first month of release, but now over 100million of us burn for The Duke.
4. Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story
Views: 115,600,000
Dahmer is officially the most successful true crime drama series Netflix has ever produced. The retelling of the horrendous crimes committed by Jeffrey Dahmer has been watched by well over 100million households.
3. Stranger Things 4
Views: 140,700,000
Stranger Things 4 is officially the most successful season of the show. Over 140million of us tuned in to watch the latest instalment, and then become obsessed with all the Vecna fan theories.
2. Wednesday season one
Views: 252,100,000
When Wednesday dropped we all entered our Jenna Ortega era. The show has now become one of Netflix’s most successful ever, with an impressive quarter of a billion views since it was released.
1. Squid Game season one
Views: 265,200,000
The original Squid Game series is officially the most viewed of all shows Netflix has ever released. When Squid Game first came out and was an instant success, Netflix backed it as being the biggest show in history. It then took just 17 days for it to break all records on the platform. It’s now had over 265million views, which means nearly all of Netflix’s global subscribers have watched the show.
