Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley confirms Kate and Anthony will be retuning for season three

For a hot minute I thought we had another Regé-Jean Page on our hands

Simone Ashley, who plays Kate Sharma in Bridgerton, has confirmed Kate and Anthony Bridgerton will return for season three!! What a time to be alive!

So far we don’t actually know exactly what season three is going to be about because there are rumours going around saying Colin and Benedict’s story will be told out of order. BUT at this point we’re just grateful we get another helping of Kathony. There was some speculation that because Regé-Jean Page played the love interest in season one and then dipped that Simone would do the same and not come back as Kate Sharma. But she’s keeping us fed because she has confirmed to Deadline “Kate and Anthony are just getting started”.

Simone said:  “We have the amazing Jess Brownell who is taking the lead as showrunner in season three. In season two, there was a lot of push and pull between Antony, there were complications with the family, and then they find each other towards the end. I think everything is just starting. I’d like to see Kate just let go a bit more and play more in season three and kind of swim in that circle of love together. I think they both deserve it.”

She continued to say how the focus of season two for Kate mainly lied with her sister. She says: “It’s about the love story between the sisters, one between Kate and Anthony, and the love story of family.” Simone added her hopes for Edwina and her continuing to grow and potentially find love. I’m not crying, you are!!!

Season two of Bridgerton is available on Netflix now. For all the latest Netflix news, drops, quizzes and memes like The Holy Church of Netflix on Facebook.
