Jeremy Corbyn was in Cardiff today
It’s the first day of election campaigning
Jeremy Corbyn began his election campaign in the constituency of Cardiff North today.
The labour leader drew a large crowd on Cardiff’s Whitchurch Common, speaking about public services and a need for increased focus on mental health, whilst encouraging unity.

After an introduction by Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones, his speech was soon interrupted by a member of the crowd urging him to “stop Brexit”.
Although questions over Brexit loom, and polls do suggest a substantial labour defeat, Corbyn proved today that he is still able to draw large crowds.
