Man arrested over alleged Wednesday night sex attack on campus
The 21-year-old is now on bail
A 21-year-old man is on bail over allegations of a sexual assault on campus after Wednesday night’s UV Paint Party.
The alleged attack took place on campus in the early hours of last Thursday morning (October 2).
A small area near the Students’ Union was cordoned off to allow for a forensic examination.
A police spokesman told The Epinal: “Police are investigating an allegation of sexual assault on a woman in the early hours of Thursday October 2 on the Loughborough University campus. A small area near the students union was cordoned off to allow for a forensic examination.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the report and a 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
Loughborough Students’ Union did not wish to comment.
