S-Club Party: UEA bar boys get down for charity video
Ain’t no party like a UEA party
UEA’s bar staff have ditched the VKs to dance along to S-Club for charity.
The boys made a spoof video to support the bar girls’ Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research, performing a choreographed masterpiece to “S-Club Party”.
The video opens with a disclaimer, promising “vests, short shorts, bright colours and dancing of a disturbing nature”.
And So. Much. Pouting.
With terrible lip syncing and enough posing to make Zoolander look modest, you’d be forgiven for thinking the video is just an excuse for the boys to show off their abs. But the “tongue in cheek lip-dub” is aiming to help the girls smash their overall target of £1000.
This year’s organiser, third year Harriet Tidman, said: “This is our fourth year participating in the Race for Life and we’ve always smashed our target of £1000.
“The bar boys didn’t disappoint with their support video. It literally had everyone in the Blue Bar in stitches!
“I’ve throughly enjoyed organising this year’s Race for Life and cannot wait for our celebratory LCR boogie on Saturday!”
The final fundraising event, a Bake and Old Clothes sale, takes place in Unio on Thursday 14 May at 11am.
Donations can also be made via the group’s Just Giving page.
