Jasper HartAfter exams, Hes East will play host to a 70 metre water slide as part of an event entitled ‘Slide the Uni, York’ and tickets are now on sale.
The event on the 3rd June has been organised by the University of York Boat Club, who interact a lot with water because they frequently row. As well as a massive slide, there will also be bouncy castles and a barbecue.
Early bird tickets have sold out for the event, but the next batch (which are not confined to UoY students) are on sale at £6.75, and can be obtained here at a discount of 10% with the promo code TAB10.
A ticket will get you unlimited goes on the slide at the following times:
- 9am – noon
- Noon – 4pm
- 4pm – 7pm
Anticipation for the event is at a high as students look to plan their post-exam fun. The event promises to be a fun way to celebrate the end of exams, provided that the weather remains as agreeable as it has been in recent weeks.
Will Fuller, a third year Economics and Economic History student, and one of the organisers of the event told The Tab: “It’s going to be an amazing way to end exams and I just cannot wait for them to be over already so I can have a go.”
“It’s been in preparation for a fair few months, I just need to get some practice in now to make sure I am the fastest!”
