Jeremy Corbyn’s son assaulted outside nightclub

He was head-butted outside Mansion


The youngest son of the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn suffered a cut to his eye after being head-butted as he left Mansion nightclub.

Tommy Corbyn, a 22-year-old electrical engineering student at York reported the incident to the police after he was “headbutted” outside Mansion on Micklegate in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Earlier in the night, Corbyn had been at The Crescent Community Venue where he had organised a Party for Palestine hip-hop event, headlined by Skinnyman.

North Yorkshire Police are investigating the alleged assault.

A police statement said: “The incident occurred at the Mansion Nightclub, Micklegate, between 4am and 4.30am on Saturday.

“The victim, who suffered a cut to his eye, reported the matter to North Yorkshire Police at 1.26pm on Saturday.

“Enquiries are on-going to investigate the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Nobody has been arrested.

“Witnesses or anyone with information that could assist officers are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the Force Control Room.”
