Person suffered burn injuries as laser printer catches fire on Nottingham Trent campus

The injuries are not thought to be serious


One person has suffered minor burn injuries after a printer caught fire on Nottingham Trent University’s campus.

The Tab Nottingham reported sightings of fire services at 9am on Monday morning outside Maudslay Building.

The cause of the fire has been identified as a laser printer that caught alight. One person sustained minor burn injuries to their hand but it is not thought to be serious.

Nottinghamshire Fire Service told The Tab Nottingham: “We were called just before 9am to a fire at the School of Architecture at Nottingham Trent University. Crews from London Road Fire Station attended to find a fire in a laser printer. One person suffered minor burn injuries to their hand. Firefighters left the scene around 10am.”

The Tab Nottingham has contacted Nottingham Trent University has been contacted for a comment.
