Active Covid-19 cases at UoN drop by 92 per cent

Latest figures for the number of active Covid-19 cases at the University of Nottingham has revealed a huge drop since the beginning of October.

The data shows that currently only 105 students and 19 staff currently have coronavirus, a drop of roughly 92 per cent since the peak in October.

It was only a matter of weeks ago that the university were reporting roughly 1,500 active cases of the virus, on average one in 23 students.

University Park campus also had the highest rate of Covid in the entire country.

Now however, the University of Nottingham’s data reveals a significant downward trend in cases, just in time for the national lockdown.

The data is taken from a total student population of 35,000 and staff population of 10,000.
