SU Presidential candidate steps up competition with his own Snapchat filter

This changes everything

Nottingham SU presidential candidate Ismail Sadurdeen has taken his campaign to a whole new level, by introducing his own custom Snapchat filter.

Students can show their support by using the filter, which is live today until 7pm in the Portland, Djanogly, Exchange and Atrium buildings, as well as in Hallward library.

The filter will also be live between 10pm-3am in Crisis tonight, and Ismail is giving students the opportunity to win a free ticket.

Ismail posted on his campaign Facebook page this morning: “Upload your selfies using the hashtag #smilewithIsmail and tag our facebook page, the funniest will win you a free ticket to crisis tonight to party with Ismail’s campaign team.”

Other candidates are already in the process of matching Ismail with their own snapchat filters, though there is a processing time needed for Snapchat’s approval.

Voting for the SU elections open at 9am on the 4th March. Until then, you can read Ismail’s manifesto here.
