Campus style: Dr Martens special

Have you been snapped in your docs?

Born in the Midlands in 1901, Dr Martens have been at the heart of English spirit and style for over a century. The unique mix of air-cushioned sole, distinctive yellow stitching and leather casing, left behind its origins as a £2 workman’s boot to become the iconic image of self-expression, punk culture and working class pride.

Today you don’t have to have shaved your head, donned a Fred Perry and  participated in at least three riots to wear a pair of Docs, as these University of Nottingham students show…
