University of Manchester comes in at 34 in the QS World University Rankings 2018

We were only beaten by 6 UK universities

The University of Manchester has been ranked 34th globally in the QS World University Rankings 2018. Manchester is consistently in the top 50, with a movement of only 5 spots since 2016.

Only 6 other UK universities were ranked above Manchester, Oxbridge, UCL, King’s College and Edinburgh.

Manchester was also ranked 35th for graduate employability; the 5th UK university on that list.

Nursing courses at Manchester were again ranked as some of the best in the world, coming in at 4th globally, repeating last year’s success.

Manchester Metropolitan were ranked 801-1000th in the world, quite a drop from last year’s ranking of 701. Man Met also narrowly missed out on being in the top 100 for Art and Design courses, coming in at 105th.
