Serial rapist police officer David Carrick has been dismissed from the Met Police

Carrick has plead guilty to 49 charges against 12 women

Police officer David Carrick who has been described as a “serial rapist” has been dismissed from the Metropolitan Police.

Yesterday, Carrick plead guilty to 49 charges, including rape, again 12 woman over a 20 year span. The 49 charges against Carrick make him one of the worst sexual offenders of modern times.

Southwark Crown Court heard how Carrick used his status as a police officer to “relentlessly manipulate” his victims, putting them at ease before committing his crimes.

Carrick was suspended from his role in October 2021 after a second rape complaint was made against him and it was announced today that he has been officially dismissed from the police.
