These freshers need no style lessons. Stephanie (left) wears a Prada bag, Jaewon (centre) has discovered Camden, from where she bought her scarf, and Ghisa is wearing Kurt Geiger boots.

Arthur- technically a fresher, having just come over from Paris- claims Paris fashion to be more high end, while London is more hype. The perfect place to demonstrate this is Brick Lane- from where he found his coat.

Second hand clothing was supported enthusiastically by almost everyone we spoke to. Charlotte’s cardigan, above, is from a vintage store (in Norway, sadly). Mexa goes for a classic Barbour jacket.

Grace Dolton, too, has looked beyond the high street familiars- her boots are from Topshop but bought on ebay, and her simple black shorts are boy’s school P.E. shorts from Cancer Research UK.

Freddie Wildblood, History fresher, wears a jumper from TK Maxx and trousers from Topman.

Aisha Ahmed wears Doc Martens perfectly, teaming them with a denim jacket we’d never have guessed was from Primark.

He’s actually called Jack, not Ron. But we love that his jumper was knitted by his Nan.

Headscarves were in abundance at the fair- Roxy’s is from Tie Rack, and below, Claudia’s from Italy.

Charlie works a stunning dress, another season staple found on ebay.
