Hyde Park and Woodhouse car break-in spree

Police release warning after multiple reports of vehicle crime last week

Five cars were broken into in the student areas of Hyde Park and Woodhouse last week.

A statement released last week by the Hyde Park and Woodhouse Neighbourhood Policing Team said:

“Vehicles have been reported broken into in the last 25 hours in the Hyde Park and Woodhouse NPT area.”

“One in the Consort Terrace area of Hyde park, two in the Belle vue Court area, one in the Cliff Lane area of Woodhouse and one in the Devon Road area of Little London.”

They added: “Don’t leave property on display in your vehicles and don’t let this happen to you.”

This isn’t the first set of crimes to target student vehicles in recent months.

Last November an arson attack saw a student’s car and four other vehicles burned out in Hyde Park.
