Not so breaking news: Edinburgh safer than Glasgow

Well obviously…

Edinburgh has come out on top as the safest city in the UK in a recent survey.

68% of people said they felt “totally safe” in Edinburgh, and a paranoid 14% felt “totally unsafe”.

One recent graduate said: “Of course it’s safe, the castle is impenetrable.”

And a Northern Irish lass said: “It’s probably the safest place in Scotland. It’s quite close to Glasgow but it can’t help that.”

Glasgow, known for its pleasant streets at night, came in eight with 44% of people deeming it safe, and 38% unsafe.

But the Scots who were polled put both Scottish cities higher, with 86% saying Edinburgh is safe and a whopping 68% thinking Glasgow is safe.

The YouGov research was conducted across ten British cities.

Bradford came out at the bottom in tenth place.
