University internet goes down again after ANOTHER service problem
It’s happened again
Anyone wanting to get on with library work and research today will have been hindered by another problem with the university’s internet connection.
After two major Eduroam breakdowns last year in April and December, this news does not bode well for 2016.
The news was broken to students by an email telling them “a significant number of services had been affected”.
The university’s central data centre was facing network configuration problems which caused a minor issue to snowball into a deeply problematic one causing disruptions throughout the system.
Although the email takes an apologetic tone one must ask how many times the university will allow problems like this to occur.
