I did a solo date on Valentine’s Day in Bournemouth and it was actually perfect

Love, but yourself first!

Valentine’s Day – the day of love, romance, and all things pink and red! But who says you need a partner to enjoy the festivities? Not this gal! With hearts in my eyes and a skip in my step, I went on a solo date in Bournemouth, and let me tell you, it was an adventure worth gossiping about!

Full tummy, fuller heart

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so I whipped up a mouth-watering breakfast fit for a queen, and I indulged in all my favourite treats. After all, why wait for someone else to pamper you when you can treat yourself like royalty?

On Wednesdays we wear Pink

Channeling my inner Barbie, I decked myself out in head-to-toe pink—because why blend in when you were born to stand out? With a playful wink to the mirror, I strutted out the door, ready to conquer the day in style!

Walk along the Quay

Originally, I wanted to hit the beach, but the sun decided to play hide-and-seek! So, I switched gears and headed to the quay instead. Walking along the water’s edge, I felt the cool breeze and heard seagulls squawking overhead.

‘Maple syrup, coffee, pancakes for one’

The chilly air took away some of the fun, so I hurried into the quay café to warm up. It had a lovely view of the sea and served delicious cakes. I grabbed a hot cup of coffee and a slice of cake, snapping plenty of pictures of my treats and the scenery. After all, why not capture the moment when you most definitely can?

Pajama party, yes please!

Back home, it was time to slip into something a little more comfortable (read: Comfiest pyjamas ever!). With a delicious dinner and a scented candle to set the mood, I cozied up on the couch for a solo movie marathon. Notting Hill was on the agenda because who can resist a Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts romcom extravaganza?

As the credits rolled and the night drew to a close, I found myself standing in front of the mirror, makeup-free and utterly content. In that moment, I realized that the most important love affair of all is the one we have with ourselves.
