Sophie Turner is suing Joe Jonas to bring their two children ‘home’ to the UK

Sophie Turner is suing her estranged husband Joe Jonas in order to bring their two children to the UK.

Court papers filled today in Manhattan outline how Sophie wishes to be allowed to bring the estranged couple’s daughters, aged three and one, to their “forever home” in England.

The lawsuit also alleges that the two children are currently being “wrongfully retained” in New York City, the New York Post reports.

The actress filed the lawsuit requesting to secure “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained.”

This comes after Joe Jonas filed for divorce earlier this month after four years of marriage. The pair met back in 2016 after mutual friends who thought they would get on encouraged them to connect through Instagram.

But last month, rumours began to circulate online that the Game of Thrones actor and Jonas Brothers front man’s marriage had hit the rocks and was headed for divorce.

Following online gossip of Sophie being blamed for partying too hard, to Joe spotting something suspicious on their home security Ring camera system, the pair’s divorce was publicly confirmed in a joint Instagram post from the couple, saying: “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.

“There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
