What will happen next to Bonnie Blue, as two MPs call her out and report her to safeguarding charity

It’s a bad day to be Bonnie Blue. Or a good day, if you’re one of the people who believes she thrives on bad press. In the last day, she’s been heavily criticised for her recent content.

Bonnie recently announced she had given birth to her first child, and within days was back posting content teasing her x-rated stunts and challenge material. However now, her baby was in the videos with her. In one, she posed on a bed with a bunch of men in blue ski-masks, with her baby draped in a matching blue blanket. In another, she handed her baby over to the men she was about to film with. 

These had a loud and clear negative reception. People begged for social services to get involved, and one called Bonnie a “disgusting weirdo” who will “do anything for money”.

Bonnie Blue has been called out by two MPs

After the posts, Bonnie Blue was reported to children’s charity, the NSPCC. The NSPCC is the UK’s leading children’s charity, campaigning to make the lives of children better, and more safe. 

Tory party equalities spokeswoman Joy Morrissey wrote to the charity “to raise serious safeguarding concerns”. The letter read: “Children are not adults. They must never be involved in pornography, used to promote adult entertainment, or absorbed into a parent’s sexualised commercial brand. Even the suggestion that a child may be placed in such circumstances is deeply disturbing.”

It added that children must be “protected from exposure to pornography” and other sexualised content. Looking away is “not an option”, she said. 

Now, a second Tory MP has weighed in, and this time it’s the party leader, Kemi Badenoch. When asked on Sky News if what Bonnie Blue had been posting about was “the kind of thing that needs an intervention”, she replied: “I believe that it is.”

She went on: “When I’m looking at someone making a pornographic video with her baby in it and putting it on social media with strangers in masks, no father in the picture, I think that that is a safeguarding issue.” Bonnie has since clarified in a statement to The Tab that her child will never be featured in the x-rated content she makes for work. 

Kemi added: “It’s not right. That is the baby’s mother. And I do think that someone needs to look at that situation, rather than all of us shrugging our shoulders and saying it’s not our business, it is our business because a baby can’t say if it’s being harmed.” She called it “grotesque for a mother to bring her own baby into a pornographic situation.”

You’re probably wondering what happens next, now that Bonnie has been reported. Look, after everything Bonnie has done in the past, I really don’t think this will stop her. 

A social worker has posted on LinkedIn to explain what the likely outcome could be here, given his experience. In a post, Vince Peart said: “Earlier this week I wrote that a referral about Bonnie Blue’s baby would most likely be recorded and closed, because notoriety is not a threshold and disapproval is not evidence.”

However, he added that two people had flagged further details about the posts, which he thinks could change things. “There is a video of her holding the baby among masked men from her films while describing s*x acts,” he said. “It is not clear from the footage whether the baby is her own child, and it hardly matters to the question it raises. That is not a question about how an adult earns a living. It is a question about a child being placed inside sexualised content.

“Working Together, the statutory guidance, includes in its definition of sexual abuse non-contact activities such as involving children in looking at, or in the production of, sexual images. Whether that is what happened here is exactly what an assessment is for, and nobody can settle it from a clip or a comments section. 

“The distinction I would still draw is between reporting what you have seen happen to a child and reporting who you disapprove of. This time there is something to report.” 

But, Bonnie isn’t sorry 

Following all the backlash to her videos, Bonnie shared a reply with The Tab. No, it wasn’t an apology. “My baby will never be in 18+ content. Saying what I’m going to do whilst holding a baby, does not mean I’ll be holding a baby whilst doing it,” she said.

“If you say you’re going clubbing tonight whilst holding a baby, that does not mean you’ll be taking the baby clubbing.”

In a direct clap back to MPs calling her out, Bonnie replied: “Oh, are the Conservatives still going? Bless her. I suppose name-dropping me is one way of trying to stay relevant. My baby is loved, protected and incredibly well looked after.

“Becoming a mum hasn’t changed the fact that I’m Bonnie Blue, but I know exactly where Bonnie ends and being a mum begins. If anyone has genuine safeguarding concerns, there are proper channels for raising them.

“But wasting the time of already stretched and understaffed services to score political points, because you dislike what I do for a living, only draws vital resources away from children who may genuinely need their help.”
