Jan Ravnik and Maks Chmerkovskiy are majorly beefing on DWTS, so what’s going on between them?

Current Dancing With The Stars cast member Jan Ravnik, who also happens to be a former backup dancer for Taylor Swift, is getting absolutely dragged by former dancer Maks Chmerkovskiy, but why?

Well, Maks Chmerkovskiy absolutely dragged Jan Ravnik during a podcast appearance, claiming that he has “absolutely no business being a pro on Dancing With the Stars.” Yikes.

Whilst appearing on the Penthouse with Peta podcast, the former DWTS professional explained: “Dancing With the Stars is a worldwide phenomenon. I’m sorry, Jan has absolutely no business being a pro on Dancing With the Stars.

“There’s zero foundation technique, quality, understanding of the partnership. Bro, I’m getting emotional. It is absurd, and this is unreal how blind we have to be and God forbid say what’s obviously there.”

He claimed that Jan had absolutely “no idea” how to correctly do the foxtrot dance style, saying: “How are you going to expect him to teach it and deliver that message in a format that is completely different from even ballroom dancing?

He added that he feels bad for Jan’s partner Jen Affleck, as being partnered with him put her at a “major disadvantage.”

Jan seemed to respond to the harsh comments during an interview with Us Weekly, saying: “What am I going to do? You can’t change their mind. Everyone can have [an] opinion — either I respect [it] or don’t respect [it].

“I mean, look, everyone has [an] opinion. Everyone has a right to have [an] opinion. Haters [are] going to hate and whoever loves us, loves us.”

After Maks made the comments about Jan on his podcast, his DWTS partner Jen Affleck commented on the situation on her TikTok.

She posted a video of herself furiously typing on her phone as Jan mouths, “Take it down. Take it down. Take it down. We need it gone. That doesn’t represent me or what we need to be doing.”
