Revealed: Off-camera remarks Steven made at MAFS wedding show hugely different intentions

Rewind back the MAFS UK 2025 wedding Steven had to Nelly, and it paints a very different picture to what we’re seeing now. This week, the couple have had huge arguments, and Steven stormed out on the rest of the group when confronted about his behaviour, chucking his drink down at the same time.

Nelly has been in tears, and expert Paul has been calling him out. It’s all been a bit of a mess. And this is all after Steven casually called Nelly a “f*cking idiot” like it was nothing.

But remember their wedding? It was arguably one of the most wholesome of the bunch this year. The wedding took place at North Mymms Park, and the couple seemed head over heels with each other.

A reporter from MailOnline went to see new couple Nelly and Steven tie the knot, and managed to sneak in a little chat with the groom at the same time. With hindsight of how the experiment is going for him right now, his comments really don’t add up.

The reporter said the day felt like a “military operation” with how it was ran to perfection, but meanwhile Steven told them he was “calm, very calm.”

He said: “It’s possibly because I’m not actually planning it [the wedding]. I think if I had to arrange the photographers, videographers, lighting… I’d probably be more nervous, but it’s in everyone else’s hands.  All I’ve got to do is walk down, say the vows, meet a stranger, get married, and then hopefully have my happy ever after.”

He added: “If I’m going to meet someone, it’s going to be through a show. I’m absolutely in this for love. Dating apps haven’t worked for me.” Steven described to the reporter that he had “calmness, and a refreshingly positive outlook on life”.

So far, Steven has seemed anything but calm. He’s lost his cool on multiple occasions, was called out by the experts for being “dismissive” and has had many heated arguments. Where has this so-called positive outlook gone, please?
