MAFS UK groom Steven tries to do full damage control after yet another meltdown at the retreat

Well, it looks like MAFS UK 2025 groom Steven Springett is trying to fix the mess he made again, and it’s giving damage control deluxe.

Steven has been anything but nice to his wife, Nelly, since they returned from their honeymoon. Previously, he called her a “f*cking idiot,” stormed out of rooms, refused to acknowledge his behaviour, and called everyone around him “c**nts.” Although he apologised for his behaviour in a previous statement, nothing has really changed.

Last night’s retreat episode was intense. When called out for his behaviour, Steven walked out again and called everyone “clowns.” Now, he has apologised once more, seemingly attempting some serious damage control.

He admitted he was ‘blinded by my own ego’

In a lengthy caption posted on his Instagram after the retreat episode aired, Steven admitted that rewatching his behaviour was painful. He told followers that what started as a peaceful spa day “turned into an anger management session.” He added that it was a “difficult watch” even for him.

Steven also wrote, “Blinded by my own ego and not taking accountability sooner, I broke someone who never deserved to be broken & that was hard to re-watch.”

Reflecting on the fallout, he added that sometimes “watching things back and reflecting on your behaviours is what you need to make a step in that right direction.”

The groom then issued a direct apology to Nelly, writing, “I need to apologise to Nelly again here. You should never have been put in that situation where you felt isolated and alone in a marriage. That’s on me, and I’ll own every bit of hurt that has come from me.”

Well, this is the second time he has had to apologise for his explosive behaviour on screen. At this rate, it’s hard to keep up with all his apologies.
