Halloween is fast approaching and so is the stress of deciding what costume you’re going to do. If you’re like us and leave your costumes until the last minute and all your besties have theirs perfected, I have the perfect solution for you: Ask ChatGPT to tell you what to be instead of stressing about it.

I asked ChatGPT to produce a list of the most relevant Halloween costumes for 2025, so you’ll be in trend no matter how last minute you are. Sneak peak… ChatGPT might be just a girl too.

1. Ibiza Final Boss

ChatGPT hit us with an iconic one to start with! This man was everywhere over the summer and we knew he’d make his comeback just in time for Halloween. Mr Worldwide 2.0?

If you’re going to do this though, it needs to be all out. We want a sea of bowl cuts and gold chains for Halloween this year, but we also need you to embody the vibes. We mean locked jaw, serious swaying and gun fingers just like a Final Boss would do.

I’m not shocked this one made the list. Wicked is everywhere for all the right reasons (icons Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande being the biggest). This is such a bestie vibes only costume. We can see the girls in pink and green slaying Halloween. Bonus points to you musical theatre girlies if you want to break out into a duet of Popular.

These little creatures are everywhere right now. No matter if you love or you hate them, it’s an easy last-minute costume that every other chronically online person will know. Just grab yourself a fluffy onesie and you’re good to go.

ChatGPT suggested painting yourself fully gold. Defo a stand-out costume. Maybe there is more than one 24 karat gold Labubu after all?

Not gonna lie we don’t know how to feel about this one… but you won’t freezing on the walk home from the club at 3am!

Even if you haven’t seen the film, you must have seen something about K-Pop Demon Hunters. It’s taken TikTok by storm and we’re loving it.

It also makes an amazing costume. Think, glitter, leather, and neon: Eye-catching in the dark so you’ll stand out in the crowd of basic vampires. You could even have a trio costume and go as HUNTR/X.

6. Saltburn

Saltburn did have a pretty iconic party scene with amazing Halloween costumes to recreate with ChatGPT. AI called this “Luxe Gothic Glamour”.

To be honest though, you say Saltburn, we think Jacob Elordi’s bathwater. Not sure what that says about us, but we’ll move on.

Saltburn had its moment, but that moment has ended. The hype was massive, but that was most likely because of Barry Keoghan’s ending dance scene.

Did we move on too quickly? No, not at all. ChatGPT, we’re not with you here.

7. Aunt Gladys from Weapons

Am I the only on3 who still see her in my nightmares? We catch a red wig and smeared lipstick staring at me from the corner of the club this Halloween and we’re running so fast. You’ll fit into the scare-factor requirements if you go for this one.

ChatGPT recommends playing into her “generous style elements” which we’re assuming means her colourful clothing and distinctive makeup. Not gonna lie we were too busy focusing on how scary she was.

8. Sabrina Carpenter

She’s everyone’s favourite pop princess and for good reason. It might be a basic costume but it’s one you can really have fun with and go all out.

Sabrina is on the second leg of her US Short ‘n Sweet tour and it’s brought a whole new selection of outfits – perfect for the girlies to recreate this Halloween. Or you could go classic and go as one of her music video looks.

ChatGPT really said, “I’m one of the girls” with this one.

So, what did I learn from letting ChatGPT pick our Halloween costumes this year? Honestly, she’s got range! There’s some questionable ideas on this list, but some really fun ones too.

I mean Sabrina Carpenter, Ibiza Final Boss, and Labubus? Maybe ChatGPT is just a girl who’s chronically online like the rest of us? Or maybe it knows exactly what we’re because she’s an all knowing AI chatbot? We just like to make her seem less scary.

No matter what you think about her, at least she’s giving us some reprieve from overthinking our Halloween costumes.
