Okay, here’s who Ruth Codd on The Celebrity Traitors is when she’s not in the Scottish castle
You will definitely have seen her in some huge Netflix shows
Ruth Codd is one of The Celebrity Traitors cast members who has done some massive TV shows – but also feels like the one not a lot of people are quickly recognising. You can’t really blame her for that though when she’s cast amongst some hugely famous British names like Jonathan Ross, Clare Balding, Celia Imrie and HRH Alan Carr. But Ruth Codd is no small scale celeb like you might find on something like Celeb Big Brother – The Celebrity Traitors bagged a Netflix icon so here’s where you know her from and who she is off the show.
The essentials
Ruth Codd is a 29 year old actress from Wexford in Ireland. Pre Covid, she was a barber and a makeup artist and then during the pandemic basically had a big rise to viral fame as she grew her TikTok profile. She got up to 672,000 followers at one point and made fun comedy sketches about a nun – before then doing more stuff about disability awareness.
As you saw on The Celebrity Traitors, Ruth is an amputee. When she was 15, she got an injury playing football – and then had to have the leg amputed when she was 23 due to complications from that injury.
She shot to acting thanks to Mike Flanagan

Via Netflix
Netflix horror king Mike Flanagan gave Ruth Codd her big break with The Midnight Club – where she played Anya. It was her first professional acting experience. Flanagan was so impressed with her performance that he then cast Ruth as Juno Usher in his critically acclaimed final series for Netflix – The Fall of the House of Usher.

Need to cuddle Betty Codd more than life itself honestly.
After The Celebrity Traitors started airing last night Ruth Codd said “who on my management team do I need to fire for letting me on reality television?” I presume she’s joking. Diva.
