Harry Cooksley’s TikTok vlogs after Love Island, ranked by how much I cringed and shuddered

Harry Cooksley from Love Island is trying to be a hardcore influencer and I don’t know what to make of this. Since leaving the Love Island villa with Shakira, Harry has posted like, a thousand vlogs to TikTok. They feature truly riveting content such as him eating pasta, walking down streets, and… brushing his teeth?

You may laugh, but his account had already gained an impressive 300,000 TikTok followers, and some videos have millions of likes. So, some people out there are clearly lapping this content up. I’m not quite sure why, though. To spare you from having to scroll through them all, here are the highlights of Harry’s post-Love Island vlogs, ranked by how much they made me cringe. Kudos to Shakira for watching them all (or at least commenting underneath them all).

6. Back to reality – 6/10 cringiness

My main conclusion from these #dayinthelife videos is that Harry’s doesn’t have very much to do with his life each day. But if you want to watch him narrate doing laundry and muse about the weather for half a minute, you’re in luck!

When Harry first returned to the UK, he uploaded lots of content from this house, including videos of a “welcome home” party. Love Island viewers assumed this was his home, and he was secretly minted. It turns out that this house actually belongs to his friend. Knowing this just adds an extra level of cringe to this video, in which Harry films himself wandering around somebody else’s garden, wearing no shirt on a cloudy day, and constantly tilting the camera for no clear reason beyond enabling us to see how massive the garden is.

4. Good or no good? – 8/10 cringiness (i.e. not good)

I’m sorry, but I can’t take seriously any video which opens with the influencer filming themselves pretending to be sleeping. I did not need to know that after the gym, Harry was ‘not smelling great’. This video includes a lengthy montage in which Harry tries on his Boohoo and Asos hauls. He uses several Vine-esque transitions, including jumped to change outfit, walking onto the screen with a new outfit, and throwing on a sweater vest. I dread to thing how much time he spent on that. The cherry on the cake is that he commented underneath: “Unapologetically me.”

2. A longer vlog with the whole gang – 10/10 cringiness

This video left me with so many questions. Why does he film his skincare routine with his trousers unzipped? What would compel someone to put their bare feet on the seats of a hired car? How does Shakira make a bird out of a napkin, and can we have a tutorial of that impressive skill, please?

This was Harry’s very first vlog out of the villa. Naww. He made a huge deal of proving he does buy things in Aldi (like us plebeians), gushed about his mother as she scrubbed at the hob for him, then filmed himself cleaning his “pearly whites”. Sure.
