A full timeline of the Drag Race ‘civil war’, a saga that’s caused more drama than ever before
Mistress and Willam have created utter chaos, and it’s been hard to keep up
There is a raging RuPaul’s Drag Race ‘civil war’ happening right now, and it’s been a hell of a month to keep up with it all. Even the hardest of Drag Race Stans are probably at a loss trying to make head nor tails of where this saga ends and begins – so perhaps a timeline is actually needed to keep track of the Drag Race fight so deep it’s being deemed a ‘civil war’ online because of how much it’s splitting the fandom and how the queens involved are in two camps. Actually, there’s likely more than two camps because it’s all got so interconnected and bizarre with subplots and sub scraps. Thanks to writing about this constantly for two weeks and being able to scour Reddit for tea – here’s a timeline of how the Drag Race ‘civil war’ erupted. Brace yourself.
Willam dissed Mistress
It all started when Willam slammed Mistress Isabelle Brooks on her podcast Race Chaser, as well as in a viewing party TikTok clip where Willam said in a video posted on TikTok, Willam can be heard slamming Mistress Isabelle Brooks in front of a crowd of Drag Race fans. Willam says “The girls don’t like her. There’s a reason she was kicked out of the group chat for season 15. That is true. She’s a bully, you can’t trust her. It comes down to real world stuff too. She was kicked out on Christmas.
“I think it translates to the real world too. People want to go and see people that are fun and a good time, not people who are duplicitous and shady and then sit in the background on their phone.” Someone says “She’s fun when she wants to be” and then Willam says “I haven’t had the pleasure.”

Mistress posted her now infamous video
Mistress then responded in a big video where she had receipts and came for Willam for the claims Willam had made about Mistress.
Mistress says “I never realised the power I had over him til many of you brought it to my attention. So, I’m going to do you a favour Willam – I’m going to give you the attention you’ve been craving.” Mistress then claims Willam has asked to be on Mistress’ YouTube channel multiple times, as well as inviting her to do whatever she wanted on a Moguls of Media podcast – whether that be Race Chaser, Very Delta or otherwise.
Mistress called out Willam for saying Mistress wears “frumpadump t shirts” on YouTube, and then says “Willam is a clout chaser who is desperate for attention. She accuses Willam of lying on podcasts and retelling stories untruthfully. Mistress says “Willam you have sat there and lied on my name time, after time, after time” – including a screenshot from this previous article by The Tab. Mistress then said “I never gave you a response, because it’s f*cking hilarious.”
Willam also posted her response with HER receipts
It all went crazy again after Willam responded with her own receipts for Mistress, and basically responded to every point Mistress made. This created the Drag Race Civil War because queens have vocally fell on either side of the disagreement.
When Mistress criticised Willam for constantly talking about Drag Race, Willam’s response is “It’s so strange you think my entire life and career revolve around a TV show. It doesn’t. It’s part of my world. I was on my favourite TV show, and now I have a podcast where I talk about it with a winner of the show.”
When Mistress accused Willam of waiting in line for RuPaul at DragCon, who Willam has beef with and then got removed from, Willam says “She’s wrong – I got a picture in the line and left. Mistress thinks that volume equals correctness – it doesn’t. I told her that on the phone, she doesn’t like that.”
Eureka stuck up for Willam and Mistress went in
After Eureka called Mistress a “big fat rat” whilst sticking up for Willam in the Instagram comment sections and accusing Mistress of various things – mostly revolving around her being a bad friend – Mistress posted a lot of screenshots of Eureka allegedly spiralling and asking Mistress for money. She also called Eureka “triggering” for her addiction behaviours which divided people more.
Once again A PUBLIC STATEMENT DESERVES A PUBLIC RESPONSE.
You bitches are so weird… let’s tell the people why I really ghost you. All you do is beg me for money and drain my energy like I’m supposed to be your crutch. YOU CREATED YOUR BED NOW LAY IN IT.@eurekaohara

There was also a Big Fat Rat Twitter account set up in response which became a big meme – we don’t know if it was ran by Mistress. One of the Eureka messages said “I’m where the trade left me” which also became a huge meme. The Drag Race Civil War rages on.
Acid and Daya Betty are also involved
Another side of it is the story of how on Race Chaser, Willam accused Acid Betty of not paying for one of her Drag Race dresses. They then got the designer on the podcast to talk about it, to which Acid Betty responded with Daya on their own podcast. The pair then called out Willam and Alaska for not inviting Acid on to share her side of this saga and posted photos of Willam doing blackface in the past.
It’s all happening in the wake of Ginger Minj winning All Stars 10
There was also a lot of interlocking drama surrounding Ginger Minj winning All Stars 10, which isn’t really part of the Drag Race Civil War but is sort of the existing context raging on behind it. Sort of just adds to the drama in the air whilst the scrap wages on. Lots of queens have spoken out about Ginger’s win, including Kerri Colby, Jorgeous, Naomi Smalls, Roxxxy Andrews, Scarlett Envy and Willow Pill.
Bob also had some Uber Eats driver drama. And people think a mystic woman predicted the Mistress drama! And that’s what you missed on Glee – Glee here being of course the Drag Race Civil War.
