A clean sweep! What went down between every Love Island 2023 couple, now they’ve all split
A disaster of a series
It’s official: Every single Love Island 2023 couple has split up. It took just two years for the show to go from having a full crop of flourishing new couples, to not a single one who could make it last.
The 2023 Islanders were a messy bunch. We’ve had breakups where the cast have slated each other, cheating rumours, and two couples who broke up and got back together. It’s been a lot to keep track of.
So, now they’ve all accepted defeat, here’s a rundown of what went down between every couple who came out of Love Island 2023.
Jess and Sammy

via ITV
Jess and Sammy split up just two months after winning Love Island 2023. A source said at the time: “Jess and Sammy have called it quits. Things have changed since leaving the villa and Jess has realised they’re better off as friends.”
Then it got messy, as Sammy posted a statement saying he and Jess had a “private conversation regarding our relationship” but it was “left up in the air as Jess is still away and we haven’t had a chance to speak in person.” He went on to say that to see “via the media that we had officially broken up came as a complete shock.” Yikes!
He then went on All Stars, but split with Elma after that, too.
Whitney and Lochan

Whitney and Lochan broke up in April 2025, making it nearly two years together after the show. “I wish I could tell you there was someone else, something that would make it easier to understand. Maybe it was just one of those heartbreaking moments of ‘right person, wrong time’,” she said in a statement at the time.
“I’m strong, but for the first time in a long time I can admit that I’m broken. I thought I had everything figured out, the future seemed so certain. Now I’m 27, standing at a crossroads and questioning everything that I thought I knew.”
Ella and Tyrique

via ITV
I honestly can’t keep up with how many times Love Island 2023 couple Ella and Tyrique broke up and then got back together. But right now, it’s most definitely over, and Ella is dating someone new.
Ella and Tyrique ended in third place on Love Island 2023. It was then reported they’d split up four months later. They then got back together, but just a couple of months after that, things were said to have gone south once again.
At the time, a source told MailOnline: “Ella and Tyrique have decided it’s time to go their separate ways. They have such love for each other, but they often struggle to get along and as viewers saw in the villa, they’re always arguing.
“This time, things have ended badly… and they have both removed all recent photographs of each other from their respective Instagram profiles, as well as all Snapchat content. They have unfollowed each other as well… it certainly feels like this breakup is final.”
Molly and Zach

via ITV
Molly and Zach are another Love Island 2023 couple who split up, and then got back together. Now though, they’ve broken up again. They first broke up seven months after the show, but then confirmed things were back on. A year later, Molly said they have split up again.
“I just want to confirm the rumours. Myself and Zac have split up and are no longer together,” she said on her Instagram story. “We have parted ways as friends, and thank you all for your love and support of our relationship over the past two years.”
Kady and Ouzy

via ITV
Kady and Ouzy gave us real MESS when Love Island 2023 ended. It’s the sort of drama Love Island is made for. Initially, Kady announced they’d broken up and said it was Ouzy’s “behaviour and actions” that caused the relationship to break down. Then, it was said things turned sour after Kady found out Ouzy spent two nights in a hotel with a girl he’d known for over a year.
He was messaging the girl named Alicia before the show, and then met up with her in London. “Ouzy didn’t mention Kady once, so Alicia really did think it was over with her, it’s been a bit of a shock,” a source said. Ouzy then said the girl “set him up” but Alicia told The Tab that was “utter rubbish”.
Ella B and Mitch

via ITV
One month after the show, Mitch and Ella B announced they are no longer together. In a statement, Ella B said she “really wanted things to work out” with Mitch. Mitch said they ended things because of how busy they both were. Classic!
Catherine and Elom

via ITV
An honourable mention for Catherine and Elom, who weren’t really together, but after two weeks shared they’d given up on any romance between them.
“The pair struggled to make it work in the real world and barely saw each other since the show ended,” it was said at the time. “They kept up a bit of a pretence, while they did the podcast circuit, but everyone knew it was over before it even really started. Catherine’s sister made no secret about her feelings towards Elom so it’s no surprise she cooled things off straight away.”
Leah and Montel

via ITV
Leah and Montel also managed a whole two weeks together. She said: “Our time in the villa was absolutely incredible, but we’ve actually decided to just be friends. We get on really well and I do really like him, but I feel like for me it’s never enough. I’m obviously looking for someone long-term and shares the same values and morals as me.”
Speaking on the reunion show about what happened, Leah added “what happened at Casa Amor” was a big reason behind them breaking up, as it caused “quite an issue of trust”.
